PERFORMANCE PARTY XLI: XALLI JAN 10TH 8PM
Jump-Start celebrates turning 41 with XALLI, a gathering of all manner of artists
presenting freshly-created short works of performance. Performance Party XLI willmaterialize at RIVER ALCHEMY OF CREATIVE ARTS, 2600 S. Flores St. 4A, San Antonio, Texas 78204 on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 8:00 PM. An indigenous blessing of the space precedes the main event and then over the course of three acts, performance artists, dancers, poets, musicians, drag artists, actors, and the undefinable offer a continual communal experience. Eddie Vega, Los MENtirosos, Stephan Gaeth, Kimberlyn Montford, Irene Chavez, Wiley Martinez, Dragonfly, andMarisela Barrera are just a few of the participating artists. Jump-Start’s Flaming Fire-Eaters round off the night.This year’s PP theme, XALLI, is the Nahuatl word for sand, a timeless earthly element ofmany sources, colors and formations. Just like all of us.

Community Series
THE COMMUNITY SERIES (work by guest artists in our theater) includes:
INKubator, in which we select a San Antonio artist or company to create and produce a new work
ON & OFF FRED, when we present the work of a visual and/or performance artist as part of a neighborhood studio tour and art walk
8 X 8 CABARET DU JUMP, eight 8-minute performances by guests and company in an 8-foot cube
A special GUEST ARTIST RESIDENCY that includes their performance and presentation of workshops for the company and community.
JUMP-START-AT-LARGE (performance that takes place anywhere but our theater) includes:
STILT-WALKERS AND PERFORMANCE ARTISTS OF JUMP-START who appear at Fiesta San Antonio parades and other surprise locations; and
FLATBED TEATRO, which brings a fresh show on a flatbed trailer to libraries, parking lots and fields around San Antonio.
